Two - Three Year Old Room
This new purpose built room is light and spacious and can cater for up to 20 children aged from 22mths – 36mths, depending on each child’s individual needs.

The staffing ratio for this area will be 1 adult to 4 children or 1 adult to 3 children depending on the age of the children.
The room manager is completing her foundation degree and all other staff within that room have suitable training and qualifications.
We will endeavour to follow the same routines that you as parents have established in the home environment and will actively work in partnership with parents to achieve this.
A nutritious two course lunch is provided which is freshly prepared in our nursery kitchen. Your child will also have access to water throughout the day and a healthy snack in the morning and afternoon with the choice of milk or water.
Children are provided with free play and structured play to help them towards achieving the early learning goals within the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum in such a way as to make learning fun. This provides an environment for children to acquire independence and confidence to enable them to reach their full potential and learn more about the world around them.
Your child will have their own key person, which is a staff member who is mainly responsible for your child’s key needs, building a bond with the child, rapport with yourselves and completing a ‘learning Journey’ .
The Two-Three year old room has low level sinks and toilets to encourage potty training, and independence, a sleep area with cots and low level mattresses. The main play area has double doors leading out to a decked area at one end and double doors leading out to the grass area enabling us to provide free flow supervised access. It has a painting easel which is permanently in use, low level tables and chairs, a home corner, dressing up, trains, puzzles, story area, climbing equipment and many more differing pieces of equipment available for your child.
People from the community visit the nursery weekly, your child will experience ‘mini melodies’ music on alternate Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Ballet on Friday mornings and every other week your child will experience nimble nippers ball skills on a Wednesday morning.
