We provide a high adult to child ratio, which is essential to provide good quality Nursery care.  The key worker system ensures that each child has an adult who takes a special interest in him/her.  Staff development is maintained by means of in-service courses and regular appraisals.  The staff at Moat Barn are qualified with diplomas in BTEC, NVQ Level 3, Diploma in Pre School Practice, HNC in Early Years and Youth Studies, BA Hons Early Childhood Studies and Pre-School Foundation Course.

All staff members hold a current enhanced criminal records disclosure "CRB" and are first aid trained specifically for pediatric first aid.

The Nursery follows the DfEE Code of Practice on the identification and assessment of Special Educational Needs.  We provide a welcome to all children and will provide appropriate learning opportunities and support for all children in partnership with parents and the appropriate external early years professionals.
