My name is Amanda Pheasant and I own Moat Barn Nursery School. I live in the barn on site with my four children. I have worked within childcare for over 15 years in various settings and have managed nurseries from 50 places right up to 190 places.
I have a BA in Early Childhood Studies, and in June 2011 I completed my Early Years Professional Status qualification which is the highest level of qualification that you can receive in the Early Years Sector – This qualification enables me to be a key catalyst for change and innovation and raise the quality of early years provision and exercise leadership in making a positive difference to all children’s well –being, learning and development. By working with my team across all ages of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum we at Moat Barn Nursery can provide an education that is rich, rewarding and stimulating.
Moat Barn Nursery School has been in existence for over ten years and has an enviable reputation for high quality childcare within the local community.
We are registered for 70 children aged between three months to eleven years. In our under twos room we maintain a strict child to staff ratio of 3:1 in our two – three year old room we maintain a ratio of 4:1 and in our three to five area we aim to maintain above required levels of child to staff ratios of 6:1.
Each child is valued as an individual without racial and gender stereotyping. Differing cultures, ethnic, religious and social groups and those with and without disabilities will be valued and respected.
we accept payments through Nursery Vouchers.
