At Moat Barn, our dedicated Nursery SENDCO, Michelle, plays a vital role in ensuring every child and family receives the individual support, guidance and care they need to thrive.
Our SENDCO has the knowledge and expertise to identify emerging needs early, support children with additional needs and behaviour, and work closely with families and external professionals to ensure the right strategies are in place. Their role extends beyond SEND, providing practical, reassuring support to families with everyday challenges such as potty training, transitioning away from dummies and establishing positive sleep routines! Having a dedicated SENDCO means there is always someone available to listen, guide and support you as a family, further helping to create consistency between home and nursery and ensuring no child or family feels they need to navigate these challenges alone.
